Hi, I’m D. Bryant Archie

For most of my adult life, I designed handwoven textiles with artisan communities in Peru and Guatemala. That’s how many of you first got to know me. Textiles were my first creative language.

Then I discovered an equally powerful expression. Designing with plants and growing food affords an unlimited palate of color, texture and composition. But more. I’m humbled and invigorated every day in the garden. Nature’s regenerative framework for the practice of growing food—from seed to harvest to seed—is a creative process to observe and partner with. Even an expression of love. We humans can literally have a hand in and nurture our wellbeing with what we eat.

I’d love to help guide you in this practice toward regaining what I like to call our edible heritage. The journey fosters resilience, generosity and community.
